Graffiti Park

A while back, our playgroup went to a cool place in Austin called Graffiti Park.  It's a place where anyone can go and paint on any of the structures....very "Austiny" :)  I got Pearce several cans of spray paint plus some bottle of regular paint and brushes.  He was so excited to paint and get dirty!  Several of our friends met us there and we just had the best time.  At one point, we hiked up to the top of the hill to look out over the city and the kids loved that there were some guys up there with music playing, so they got to show us their dance skills.  It was so funny to watch!  After our paint was all used up and all over the kids, we headed to Whole Foods to eat lunch and play on the playground they have on their roof....another very "Austiny" thing to do!  It was such a fun day spent with our friends!

  1. What a fun concept! And definitely "Austin". I know the kids had a fun time and caused no harm. Why am I not surprised that Whole Foods (right smack-dab in the middle of downtown Austin) has a roof-top. playground? Again, very "Austin-y". Your play group does such interesting things! I love it!
