3 Year Well Check

This morning, Pearce had his 3 year well check.  I love taking Pearce to these types of appointments because it's fun to find out his stats and he just LOVES going to the doctor!  He was such a good boy!  When the nurse called his name, Pearce went right up to the nurse and followed her down the hall to the exam room.  She first got his weight, then his height, then took his blood pressure.  When the nurse put the blood pressure cuff on Pearce's arm, she told him she was going to see how strong his muscles are.  Then Pearce said "Hey, I got one of those at hone!"  The nurse tried to check his eyesight, but honestly, the test was not good for toddlers.  She stood by a board and would point to a letter.  Pearce stood several feet back and had a card with 4 letters on it.  When she pointed to a letter on the board, Pearce was supposed to find the matching letter on his board.  Matching is a tough concept for kids, much less a newly 3 year old!  Especially matching letters....I think he would have a done a lot better matching pictures.  But oh well, I'm going to say his eyesight is just fine :)  Then it was time for Dr. Sperling to come in and check him out.  He sat so still and did everything she asked him to do.  I had no questions or concerns, so it was an easy visit!  The next well check is at 4 years old!  When we got in the car, Pearce said "Wet's go to Chick Fil Way!"  Ok, big boy, good idea!  So, off we went to Chick Fil A to celebrate a great doctor's visit!

School Birthday Celebration

On Tuesday, Pearce got to have his birthday celebration at school.  He wore his new birthday shirt, of course!  Chris and I took him to school which Pearce loved!  He was so proud to have Daddy walk him in.  When we got to his classroom, he was sure to show Ms. Dawn how old he is now.  He really concentrated on getting his 3 fingers up...so cute!  Then Chris and I went to the Chapel to wait for the classes to come in.  Pearce has Chapel every Tuesday with several other classes.  They sing several songs, listen to a bible story, and acknowledge birthdays for that week.  When Pearce's class walked in and he saw us, he got so excited!  He just kept smiling and waving to us.  I loved that Chris was able to see this!  When it was time for the birthdays, Pearce's name got called out and he walked up on stage and got a birthday ribbon.  Then everyone sang Happy Birthday and God Bless You.  Pearce was smiling the entire time and when it was time to go sit back down, he ran down the steps and into the arms of Ms. Dawn and sat in her lap the rest of the time :)  After his class left Chapel, I went to get munchkins for his class and then went back at 12:30 for his special birthday snack.  He was so excited to see me and just kept hugging and kissing me.  I loved seeing his little friends at school.  They were excited to have munchkins and juice boxes for for Pearce's birthday.  Then, the class sang a couple of cute songs for me.  Pearce had a great birthday celebration at school!!
