Our visit to Little Rock

Last Thursday, Pearce and I had an adventure flying to Little Rock to visit Pops and Mimi and to surprise GG after her knee surgery.  I was so worried about flying with Pearce because he is so much more active now than the last time we flew.  Chris was already out of town, but was going to meet us in LR.  I prayed for a smooth flight and thank goodness that's what I got!  He was such a good little traveler!

"Don't worry Mommy, I will be a good boy."

Pearce LOVED looking out the big windows at all the vehicles and planes.  I love this picture.  It reminded me of when Ashley and I were little and Daddy would take us to the airport to watch the planes take off.  We loved doing that together.

And this was my baby boy during most of the flight.  Chris got us a flight where we didn't have to change planes, so Pearce just snoozed for the first flight and a little bit of the time while we were in Dallas waiting to take off again.  He did wake up midway through the final flight to LR, but he just had the best time talking to me and looking out the window and charming the flight attendants :)

We were so excited to see Pops and Mimi!  They took us to one of my favorite places in LR...Shorty Small's!  I had the best cheeseburger and Pearce was in french fry Heaven.  He was seriously shoveling them in his mouth!

Pearce loved his new high chair Pops and Mimi got him!  We just have a compact high chair, so this was big time to him!

On Friday, we went to The Wonder Place.  It's a play area that is just for kids ages 8 and under.  It had a great toddler play area, plus lots of other rooms that had all kinds of discovery-type activities.  There was a water table, a sand table, a "vet" with lots of stuffed animals, just tons of hands-on fun!  We loved playing and exploring!

Pearce can pick out Daddy in all pictures.  Here he is showing Mimi "Daddy."

Chris finally made it to LR Friday night.  We surprised GG with Pearce...and me too, but she was REALLY excited to see Pearce!  It was great.  He was definitely in a big way during that visit.  GG shared her vanilla ice cream with Pearce...he sure loved that!  GG is feeling a lot better now that she's out of the hospital.  GG, you better get that knee in tip-top condition because Pearce may be walking pretty soon and you'll have to chase after him when you visit!

Oh the fridge.....Pearce could "play" in the fridge all day if I let him.  He really doesn't knock anything over, just likes to look and touch everything in there.

When he started grabbing for the wine, we decided it's probably best to close the fridge :)

"Look Mommy, I can make silly noises in this thing!"

"It doesn't taste very good, though."
