10 months old!

Pearce, you turned 10 months old on November 25th!  You spent the first few days of your tenth month with Mama and Papa in Dallas and you had so much fun with them!

The time is really flying by.  It seems like you learn something new each day!  Here are a few things I want to remember about your 9th month:

*You crawled non-stop!
*You began pulling up just a few days before your 10th month.
*You wear size 12 month clothes.
*Size 3 diaper, but size 4 at night because you kept leaking through at night.
*Size 2 shoes, but you can wear size 3 with socks.
*21 pounds.
*You eat 2-3 meals a day and still take 7 ounces of formula.  You love to eat and we began trying chunkier foods!
*You take 2 2hr naps a day...sometimes you will sleep for 3 hours!  I usually have to wake you up from your afternoon nap.
*You go to bed around 8:00 and wake up around 7:30 in the morning.  As I type this, though, I hear you on your monitor talking and laughing...I put you down for bed 20 minutes ago!
*You love your two blankies and suck on the corners.
*You babble all the time.  You say dadada....but no mamama yet :(
*You love all dogs!

I have loved decorating for Christmas this year and putting a few special things in your room.  This is a musical Santa from Mama Pearce.  We always listen it it before bed.

You really are such a sweet, happy, smiley, easy-going baby...except when you get mad about something.  Thankfully, that is not too often and you are very easy to console and re-direct.  I love to kiss you all over and make you laugh.  You like to watch daddy from the window when he leaves to go to work.  I can't imagine not having you and I honestly thank God for you daily.  I love you and can't wait to see what this month brings!!!

Thanksgiving, part 2

We left Little Rock on Saturday morning to drive to Dallas to have a little visit with my parents.  It was my mom's birthday as well as Alexandra's, so she wanted to bake a birthday cake.  She wanted to make this winter white cake...and it did not turn out like the picture...at all!  For some reason, the chocolate filling in the middle didn't set right and it started oozing out and the frosting was hard to spread, so it was quite a mess.  But then mom thinned the frosting and I used a big cake spatula to spread the frosting and we also used flowers to decorate.  It actually ended up being really pretty!

Nathan and Charlotte always love entertaining Pearce!

Auntie Ashy and her 3rd baby :)

The birthday girls!

The cake...it really turned out pretty...Nathan did such a good job with the candles :)

All of the girls gave mom a James Avery charm bracelet.  She loved it, but the really great present was from Daddy.

Reading Daddy's card....

Realizing what he got her...

Mom is soooooo excited....Daddy is thinking, "I can't believe I spent that much money."

So....what did he get her?  Two tickets to see Andrea Bocelli at the American Airlines Center.  SO JEALOUS!!!  They went last night and mom said it was just amazing!

Pearce's First Thanksgiving 2012, part 1

I'm late posting these because I ran out of space on my blog...had to buy more space!  Chris loved that, ha!  We had a great Thanksgiving in Little Rock.  I was really worried about how Pearce would do on an 8 hr car ride, but he did so much better than I expected!  He really only got fussy a few times, but all in all, was great!  We got to Little Rock on Wednesday afternoon and had so much fun with everyone!  Pearce enjoyed his first Thanksgiving dinner!

Daddy and his boy

Pearce loved the little duckies GG brought him!

Having his first taste of turkey...he really loved the mashed potatoes, though!

Mmmmm...pumpkin pie!

GG is so funny!

Watching Arkansas lose :(

Pops and Mimi have a gorgeous backyard, so we decided to take some pics!

Chris and I both said this was the best Thanksgiving yet because we have our baby boy.  He definitely makes things so much fun.  We are so thankful for this sweet, happy, healthy, funny baby boy!!
