Baby's First Christmas...Round 2!

GG came this past weekend for an early Christmas celebration with us.  Pearce was so excited to see her!  She got him these cute overalls, so of course we had to take some pics of him in them.  We had a great visit with her!

GG always stops at the Czech Bakery for goodies for us.  She brought Pearce these cute iced sugar cookies and some gingerbread cookies.  He was in Heaven when we let him take a few nibbles....ok, bites!

We let Pearce open his presents on Friday night and boy did he get some great things!  He got this Cars book and a little Lighting McQueen, a chef's apron and a basket of fruits and veggies, an activity table, a schoolhouse shapes sorter, bath toys, and some puzzles!  He really loved pulling up on his activity table!  It was fun for GG to see him pulling up and cruising around the furniture.  It really is amazing how quickly he learns a new skill.  I really would not be surprised if he is walking or at least taking some steps on his birthday.

Thanks for the "photo bomb" Otis!

These puzzles are so cute!  They have little doors that Pearce can open and inside are objects that he can take out.  He also got two big knob puzzles.  I want to start trying to teach him the names of animals and the sounds they make.  Those puzzles will be good for that.

"Mommy, why are you looking at me like that?  It's the newest way to drink a bottle!"
Saturday was fun because we went out to lunch and then to Logan's first birthday party.  At lunch, GG and I each gave Pearce little bites of our lunch.  It is so fun to see him starting to eat "real food."  He really liked GG's tomato soup and he also liked gnawing on my baguette.  Then we headed over to Logan's for the party.  They have a malti-poo named Linus that Pearce LOVED looking at through the window.  Seriously, Pearce could have stood at that window all day watching him!  Then the other babies came to see Linus, too!  It was fun for GG to see Pearce with his little friends.  GG had fun talking to the other grandmothers at the party....I would overhear her saying different things about Pearce....she is so proud of him and I love that!!

"I love my new table GG!"
GG also brought Pearce these cute Christmas jammies....the hat is so cute, but Pearce would not keep it on.

GG got Pearce this cute little skillet and spatula.  Today, I made him a small grilled cheese sandwich in it and he LOVED it!  I loved that I didn't have to use a big skillet :)

GG, thank you for a great Christmas!  We had so much fun with you and can't wait to have you back for a birthday celebration!
