19 weeks, 6 days. It's a ......

Today was our big anatomy scan.  I was looking so forward to finding out if our baby is a boy or girl, but what I REALLY wanted to find out is that our baby is healthy and its growth and development are right on track.  Thank God that is the case!!!  I was very nervous going in, but I kept feeling the baby move, so that reassured me.  The technician came in and started the sonogram.  She started at the top of baby's head.  I loved seeing that baby had grown and was moving all around.  In fact, baby moved A LOT during the exam!  We saw baby's heart beating, the 4 chambers, its kidneys, its bladder, every little special part of baby we saw!  The exam lasted about 45 minutes.  She finally said she could tell what baby was and did we want to know.  YES!  It's a BOY!!!!!  I was holding back tears all during the sonogram because I wanted to really concentrate on what I was seeing, but the anticipation of finding out if we're having a boy or girl was building and building.  When she said "It's a boy" I just lost it and started crying.  Chris had the biggest smile on his face.  I had a feeling all along it was a boy and Chris was thinking girl.  Chris said, "You knew it!"  Then the doctor came in to double check everything and confirm the gender.  She said his growth and development were right on track and that everything looked great and that he was definitely a he!  He weighs about 12 oz and is about the length of a Barbie doll.  Here are his ultrasound pics.  He was moving around a lot so it was hard to get good pictures, but I think he looks precious!

How's that scar looking? So, I added a front belly shot.  You can see my scar, but since it's stretched out now, it is not as noticeable as it was.  It sort of fades into my skin.  I'm sure it will look terrible after I have the baby, but do I care?  Nope.

My mom and sister and niece are here for the weekend.  We bought baby boy several cute outfits today.  I will post about that later!
