4th of July

We had a nice, laid back 4th of July weekend at home.  Chris had Friday off, so we just hung out at home together and then that night I got to go to a movie with my friends.  On Saturday, the 4th, we took Pearce to the mall to play at the bounce house, then we went to the food court to eat lunch.  Pearce chose teriyaki chicken and fried rice for his lunch!  We went home and rested before going to the park to watch the fireworks.  I had gotten Pearce some poppers that you throw on the ground to make them pop and I also got some confetti poppers where you pull the string and then confetti pops out.  He loved throwing the poppers on the ground, but when it came to the confetti poppers, he was too scared to pull the string :)  So Mommy did the confetti poppers!  Later, we got our cooler packed up and headed to the park.  The park has such a fun 4th of July celebration with bounce houses, giant slides, face painting, fire trucks, etc...  After we spread out our blanket, we waked around to let Pearce do some fun things.  He loved the fire trucks and the inflatable fire house where you could walk around inside.  At one point, I wanted to take his picture in the wooden stands where you put your head through and it looks like you're a fireman.  Well, he stuck his head all the way through and then could not get his head out.  I tried and tried but could not get his head out, then about the time that I thought this is a real problem, here come 4 cute firefighters to the rescue!  They worked on getting his head out and finally did it!  I totally wish I had gotten a picture of it all...it was pretty funny!  After that, we decided to head back to our blanket to wait for the fireworks.  We got Pearce a couple glow sticks and he had fun just running around with the glow sticks with all the other kids.  Finally, the fireworks started and they were great!  Pearce loved them!  On Sunday, I took Pearce swimming and he looked adorable in his patriotic swimsuit....thanks GG!!!
