Thanksgiving 2014

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday in Little Rock!  We got to fly in, which was really nice.  Pearce is always such a good traveler on airplanes.  He fell asleep during the second flight before we even took off!  When we got to Pops and Mimi's house, Pearce was so excited to see them.  No more sleeping in pack 'n plays for Pearce.  He slept in a twin bed at Mama and Papa's house with a guard rail, so Pops and Mimi got a guard rail for the twin bed at their house and he did just great.  They also put the monitor in their room, so it was really nice being able to sleep in.  Pearce is all boy when it comes to wrestling and chasing.  He LOVES to wrestle and LOVES to be chased.  He had so much fun playing in the backyard, too.  Pearce also loves sticks and when Pops brought out his walking stick he used in Africa, Pearce was in Heaven!  Mimi also kept a walking stick Chris made when he was in college.  So to have two big sticks for Pearce to play with, was awesome!  On Thursday, we had our Thanksgiving dinner with GG at the Lyons' house.  Pearce loved playing with the other 3 kids there.  He especially loved jumping in the big leaf piles in their front yard!  He ate a great dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, a roll, and fruit.  The dinner was sooo good!  On Friday, GG came over to Pops and Mimi's house and we all watched the Hogs lose...very sad :(  Chris went to visit two of his high school buddies and I went to visit one of my college friends, Chrissie.  So fun!  On Saturday, we met GG for lunch at a barbecue place.  The lunch was yummy, but Pearce was not too happy during lunch.  I think he was tired and just not wanting to sit to eat lunch...which was a little stressful for Chris and I.  We left Little Rock to fly back that afternoon.  I totally thought Pearce would fall asleep on the first flight because he hadn't had a nap yet and woke up early that morning.  He fell asleep right when we landed and stayed asleep during out hour and a half layover!  I actually loved carrying him around with him asleep on my shoulder :)  We had such a great time with our family!!!  We picked up Otis and Sissy at doggy daycare on Sunday and they were WORN out!!  Thank you Pops and Mimi and GG for a great visit!!
