Wally

Pearce loves it whenever I have to go mail something because that means we get to see Wally...the sweetest chocolate lab ever!  Wally goes to work with his owner, Hope at the cutest little mailing store by our house.  I remember when Hope first got him as a puppy and he has just grown to be the calmest dog ever.  He has his own bed and toys and whenever we walk in and see Wally, Pearce says "Oh Wally!"  And he just goes over and starts loving on Wally.  Wally just lays there and lets Pearce pet him, kiss him, lay down next to him!  Sometimes, we don't have anything to mail, but just want to go see Wally and we'll just pop in to get some Wally love.  Every once in a while, I'll give Pearce a doggy treat to take to Wally :)  We went to see Wally today and I finally remembered to bring my phone to take some pics!  I just LOVE that Pearce is such a dog/animal lover.  Whenever we go to Petco to get dog food, Pearce loves looking at the ferrets, birds, fish, mice, hamsters.  It's really fun if we get to see a dog getting groomed.  If we're outside and Pearce sees a squirrel, he gets so excited and loves watching it.  The only problem is that Pearce will go up to any dog and immediately want to pet it.  I've been trying to teach him that you have to ask the owner first if you can pet it because not all dogs like to be pet.  The other day we were at the park and a lady had her dog on a leash and Pearce wanted to pet the dog so I told him we had to go ask the lady.  He walked right up to her and said "I pet your dog?"  It was so cute and I was proud of him for asking the lady :)  Speaking of Petco, when we were there last night, I let Pearce pick out a bag of dog biscuits for Otis and Daisy.  When we got home, he gave them each one and then wanted one for himself.  He BEGGED me so I thought he would totally take one bite and think it was gross....nope....he ate the whole thing.  This morning he had a big fit because I wouldn't let him have another one.  I told him he is not a doggy and only doggies can eat those and he said "NO, I AM a doggy!"  He will now feed Sissy (Daisy) all by himself.  He opens the container, fills a cup with food and pours it into her bowl....and then licks his hand to get any crumbs :)  I've always thought Pearce reminded me of a little puppy!

Fun with Friends

Last week, my former Principal, Shelly, invited all the toddlers and their mommies to come to her house to swim.  Pearce had a blast!  He has just been loving swimming, lately.  He was so sweet and talkative to everyone and played well with the other kids.  We all brought snacks for the kids and just had the best time!  Then, Pearce's girlfriend, Claire, came to play for the evening.  Pearce and Claire have the BEST time together!  It's so fun to have Claire because she is so sweet and they really love to be together.  We took a wagon ride to the park and Pearce kept saying "Hane on!"

Sweet Treats for my Sweet Pearce

I wanted to take Pearce for a shaved ice, so we found a fun little trailer that served the softest shaved ice.  It was soooo good and Pearce loved it!  I knew it was going to be messy, but oh well!  At one point, he said "Mommy, yemme have yours."  I thought he just wanted a taste of mine, but no, he wanted mine AND his!  Last week, I went to the new Whole Foods with Christie and Bessie to eat lunch while Pearce was in Mother's Day Out.  Oh man, this place was so fun with tons of good food!  I just HAD to get Pearce a little treat, so I got him the S'mores cupcake.  He was so happy I brought him a "prise" to have for after school :)

Funnies about Pearce

Lately, Pearce has been saying the funniest things.  I want to remember them, so here they are...

*On July 4, we were getting ready to go to the festival and I told Chris to hurry up and Chris said "Well, if Mommy doesn't get Daddy a to-go cup, Daddy is going to spank Mommy."  Pearce said, "No Daddy!  Mommy is my friend!"

*If he hears a baby crying he will squint his eyes and in a concerned voice say "Oh Mommy, why that baby cying?"

*He likes it when I pretend to cry and then he will say "It's ok Mommy, don't cy."  Then when I stop pretend crying he will say "Mommy, cy some more."  He leaves off the "r" when he says cry :)

*When it's time to go leave our house and go somewhere, Pearce will usually say "No mommy, I can't go cuz I need to stay in my bed."

*"Mommy tase (chase) me."  I hear that about 100 times a day :)

*Whenever Pearce gets an ouchie he always says "Mommy tiss it."

*Sometimes he will come up to Chris or me and say "Mommy, cose your eyes, I got a prise (surprise) for you."  Then he will pull something out from behind his back and say "Prise, happy birday!"

*He loves fruit snacks but calls them "snee snacks."  Also when he wants a fruit pouch he says "peese pouch."

*Still calls milk "nilk."  Chris will say, "Pearce say m-m-m-milk."  Pearce will say m-m-m-nilk."  Love that!

*This summer, Pearce has loved going to the pool and will say "Mommy, we go fimming this afnoon?"

*"I do it all myself."  "Mommy, yet me do it."  I hear both of these phrases about 100 times a day, too.

*Whenever we pass Dunkin Donuts Pearce will say "There's the munkin (munchkins) pace...Mama yikes munkins too!"  Whenever Mama comes to visit, she always takes Pearce to get a bag of munchkins.

*Pearce likes to watch the videos on my phone, so he will say "Mommy yet me have your phone, I watch ideos....peese, peese Mommy?"

*Whenever we walk into our garage, there's a spider web that hangs in the corner and Pearce always loves to look at it and say, "Oooh...pooky!"  Sometimes he'll say "Mommy, there a pider, that pider gonna get you!"

*"Daddy hone yet?"

*"Mommy, where my came?  I need my came."  GG walks with a cane, so Pearce has his own "came" which used to be a long dust handle that I gave him, but I can't find it so now he uses his golf club :)

*When Pearce wants me to hold him he will still say "Mommy hold you."

*If Pearce gets upset about something or gets in trouble or gets hurt, he will say "I need BB, BB help you."  BB is his blankie.

Our Fantastic 4th!

Our 4th of July was so much fun this year!  Christie and Ridley came over in the morning and we took the boys swimming at our neighborhood pool.  Pearce has been having so much fun swimming lately because I finally got him to wear his swim floatie.  Now he can float and kick and somewhat swim around.  He loves to jump in to me.  In fact the other day, he would not put his floatie on and he wanted me to get out of the pool so he could jump in.  I'm not kidding.  He threw the biggest fit because I wouldn't let him.  I have no idea if he actually would jump in all by himself, but I didn't want to take the chance!  I finally convinced him to put the floatie on and he's been having fun "swimming" ever since!  After a couple hours at the pool and playground, we headed home for naps and to get ready for the fireworks.  Chris and I decided to take Pearce to the Cedar Park 4th of July festival this year so he could see his first fireworks show.  We got there around 6:30 and Pearce had fun going to the bounce houses and on this giant slide...he wanted to do it twice.  He also got to sit in a firetruck and one of the firemen gave him a sticker.  He is crying in the pictures because he wanted to close the door...and probably drive off :)  He definitely got sugared up, too.  He ate a huge piece of watermelon, stole my snow cone, and then I HAD to get him a bag of cotton candy!  We met up with a few more friends and then found a place to sit down and wait on the fireworks.  The kids had so much fun with their glow sticks and just running around chasing each other.  Finally it was time for the fireworks and oh my gosh, did Pearce love it!  He only wanted to sit with his daddy and when the first one went off, I saw a big smile come across his face.  I asked him if he liked them and he acted shy and just smiled and nodded his head....he acts like that when he likes something :)  It was a really great, long show!  I had so much fun celebrating the 4th with my two favorite guys.  Can't wait until next year!!!
