3 Year Well Check

This morning, Pearce had his 3 year well check.  I love taking Pearce to these types of appointments because it's fun to find out his stats and he just LOVES going to the doctor!  He was such a good boy!  When the nurse called his name, Pearce went right up to the nurse and followed her down the hall to the exam room.  She first got his weight, then his height, then took his blood pressure.  When the nurse put the blood pressure cuff on Pearce's arm, she told him she was going to see how strong his muscles are.  Then Pearce said "Hey, I got one of those at hone!"  The nurse tried to check his eyesight, but honestly, the test was not good for toddlers.  She stood by a board and would point to a letter.  Pearce stood several feet back and had a card with 4 letters on it.  When she pointed to a letter on the board, Pearce was supposed to find the matching letter on his board.  Matching is a tough concept for kids, much less a newly 3 year old!  Especially matching letters....I think he would have a done a lot better matching pictures.  But oh well, I'm going to say his eyesight is just fine :)  Then it was time for Dr. Sperling to come in and check him out.  He sat so still and did everything she asked him to do.  I had no questions or concerns, so it was an easy visit!  The next well check is at 4 years old!  When we got in the car, Pearce said "Wet's go to Chick Fil Way!"  Ok, big boy, good idea!  So, off we went to Chick Fil A to celebrate a great doctor's visit!

  1. What a perfect report for a perfectly wonderful little boy!! I'm so glad you love your pediatrician and like your visits with her. A visit to Chick Fil A to celebrate a good report sounds perfect to me. Did you trade your toy for an ice cream cone? I love you and can't wait to come back soon!
