Pearce's first Halloween was so fun! Last weekend, my friend Kristin had a Halloween party, so we went to that. I wasn't planning on dressing up, but remembered I had these cat ears, so I dressed up as a cat. Easiest costume ever! My little bat wore himself out that night. It was really fun!
Here's the hostess with the mostest! Kristin wore her grandmother's vintage Asian pajamas...she looked so cute! Unfortunately, halfway through the night, the crotch ripped....that's vintage for ya! That's Jesse holding Pearce. He loves Pearce! He was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and he made his costume! Pearce loved his ruby slippers :)
Christie and her little candy corn. Her mother-in-law made Ridley's costume and he looked so cute!
Kristin's baby Marlee :)
On Halloween night, I made Pearce a dinner of pumpkin, green beans, and pears. MY dinner consisted of chocolate! I knew Pearce couldn't go trick-or-treating, but I was so excited about Halloween. It was so fun taking cute pictures of him and passing out candy while holding him. Last Halloween I was pregnant and still had doubts that I would actually have him...I wish I could let that go. I loved peeking outside and seeing all of the kids dressed up and just feeling so thankful I have my own little pumpkin now!
I had to wait until Chris got home to put Pearce in his real costume, so he just wore his Halloween jammies. We had tons of trick-or-treaters, so it was fun answering the door holding Pearce and passing out candy. I think he started understanding what was going on, because each time the doorbell rang, he would look at me and then I would scoop him up and run to the door to pass out candy. He just smiled and kicked his little feet. I loved seeing all of the trick-or-treaters, but man, there were some greedy ones! I am determined that when Pearce is old enough to understand, he will say "thank you" and be thankful for what he gets...."You get what you get, and don't throw a fit!" There were several older kids that were not happy with what I gave them and said they didn't want it, they wanted something else. So, I would just smile at them (their parents were watching) and through my smile I would say, "Be thankful for what you get." Geeze!
Happy Halloween 2012!!

ReplyDeleteI love all these pictures of Pearce and of you! And, I agree with Ashley -- you both looked cute in everything!! I especially like the one sitting there with the pumpkin head. He just looks so sweet and innocent.
