Pearce's first toothbrush!

Pearce's bottom teeth have come through!  You can see the left one really well and the right one is just peeking through.  So, of course we had to go get a toothbrush for those teeny tiny teeth!  I have since found out that I should have been brushing his gums BEFORE his teeth broke through...oops!  I expected to go to the toothbrush aisle and grab the one and only baby toothbrush which of course would come with toothpaste...uh, no.  There were several to choose from and I'm sure they are all the same, but I started comparing each one and reading about them.  And of course, I had to get something cute, too!  So I finally decided on a toothbrush, then I had to decide on the toothpaste...I thought I could get a "set", but no.  Now I can't even remember what I got, but it did have Thomas the Train on it, which I thought was cute :)  He is not quite sure about brushing his teeny tiny teeth, but it was fun watching him chew on it.

"See Mommy, you have to get way back there."

"Uh, ok, I really don't know what I'm talking about."

"Like this Mommy?"

"Hmmm....interesting."

"I'd rather just chew on this."

"Here, Mommy, get a picture of this real quick."

"Ok, Mommy, seriously...enough with the pictures and the high-pitch baby-talk."

  1. Pearce, what a big boy you are becoming! I can't believe you're learning to brush your teeth. Grandy would be so proud of you!! But, I'm pretty sure the brushes face TOWARD the teeth. That's the way she taught me, anyway. I'm also sure Otis & Daisy will be wanting to learn to brush their teeth now, too!!

Hope I can come to see you sometime this month. I miss loving on you!

  2. First of all, I have to say I love your cute fat rolls on your thighs. They are just begging Auntie Ashy to squeeze them! And I love the picture of you looking down at your toothpaste...those cheeks are so adorable. Why are you doing this to me? You are making me miss you so much!!!!! Good luck with brushing your teeth...it starts out fun for both mommy and baby and then ends us being a huge pain!
