Galveston 2012

We had a great beach trip to Galveston!  Papa rented a house pretty much right on the beach. It was so fun for us to all be together!  So in our house we had me and Pearce (Chris was in Argentina dove hunting), Jen and Alexandra and Robert, and Ash, Wayne, Nathan, and Charlotte...plus mom and dad.  The weather was perfect because it was cloudy most of the time so I never worried about Pearce getting too much sun.  I did slather him with sunscreen but I was so glad he was never in direct sun.  Each morning we all went down to the beach, including Pearce!  He did great!  He loved hearing the waves and always took a good nap on the beach.  The kids LOVED going in the water and playing in the waves and sand.  At night we cooked dinner at the house and just had fun being together.  Here are just a FEW pictures...all together, we took over 300 pics!!

Lazy morning on the porch....but Nathan's ready to hit the beach!

Nathan turned into an excellent crab hunter!  At one point this whole container was filled with crabs!

Jen got to celebrate her birthday while at the beach!  Nathan and Charlotte were very serious about putting the candles on her cake.  Mom made the chocolate cake and it was YUMMY!

One night we all got to go out to eat while Mama and Papa stayed with the kids.  We had so much fun!  We ate at Fisherman's Wharf and it was so good!

Wayne loves oysters.....so I tried one with him...not too bad!

My BEAUTIFUL niece, Alexandra.

Jen and Ash

We decided to ride on the ferry just for a fun experience.  There was a little bit of a line to get on, so we had fun playing with Pearce in the car :)

Just Wayne's luck...to have a seagull poop on him!!

One night we went to Pleasure Pier.  It had all sorts of rides and games and food.  It started raining as we went, but to our surprise, everything stayed open, so we just did all the rides in the rain....it was so fun!

We loved going to the beach in the evening.  This evening, Charlotte had on her cute dress I got her.  But she really wanted to play in the sand, so Ash just took her dress off.  As soon as that dress came off, she went crazy playing in the sand and water!  It was like she was FREE!!!!!!!

Mom and Daddy, thank you so much for a wonderful beach trip!  Whaddaya say we do it again next year?  :)

  1. Looks like a great trip! We grew up going to Galveston every summer and we still go. In fact, we are going next month and I can't wait!

  2. Put another beach trip on next year's calendar. I really had the beach blues when I got home. I wanted to rock our baby. Watch Charlotte and the boys run on the beach and dig in the sand. Instead I just looked at the pictures and thought about all the fun we had. Love, Mama and Papa

  4. I can tell that you all had a wonderful time! Everyone had a smile on their face, including Pearce. You all are so blessed to have a big, close-knit family. I would love to have that. I'm so glad that Pearce will grow up knowing and loving all his relatives, and having memories of times like this!

    Love,
    Lora
