This and That...

Papa sent us a big bag of chocolates for our Valentine's Day treat....Pearce was so excited to get this bag!  Papa sends his girls a bag of chocolates every year :)  We also had a Valentine's Day party with our play group.  I am really going to miss our weekly get togethers next year :(

My friend, Cari has 3 little girls....Anna is one of them.  She's 2 years old and Pearce LOVES her...and she loves Pearce as well.  Cari sent a video a couple weeks ago of Anna crying for Pearce.  Pearce is soooooo sweet and loving and helpful to all of Cari's little girls.  So, we got to babysit just Anna for a few hours and Pearce loved it.  He told me he was going to "be in charge of Anna" while she was here and he pretty much was.  They had so much fun playing together.  Pearce really thinks of Anna as his baby :)

I decided to take Pearce to McKinney Falls State Park for a little adventure.  We hiked, we had a picnic, and we ended the day with Pearce playing in the water...in his undies :)

Pearce's preschool class picture.  Mrs. B. is Pearce's teacher and we both love her!

A couple weeks ago, Pearce got really sick,  I was sure he had the flu.  His fever came on quickly, had chills and no appetite.  He kept asking me why the house was so cold, but he had a fever of 103.  I took him to the after hours children's clinic where they tested him for everything.  He did not have the flu or strep, just some type of virus.  I'm pretty sure it was his periodic fever syndrome.  He has not had one of these episodes in a long time, which is good, but gosh, he felt so awful that day.  By the next day, he was totally fine!

Our playgroup got to tour a fire department last week.  The kids learned about fire safety, got to explore a fire truck, and turn on the water to a fire hose!  Here is Pearce with his favorite baby girl, Anna....she saw Pearce and immediately went to him to sit by him!

I introduced Pearce to one of my favorite movies...Raider of the Lost Ark, which lead to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which lead to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which lead to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  Needless to say he LOVED them all and is now a big fan of all things Indiana Jones.  He convinced me that he absolutely MUST have a whip just like Indy.....I got him one and it is pretty cute seeing him transform into Indiana Jones :)

Had to get new tires put on my car and Mr. Personality asked if he could go into the garage and look around.  The mechanic gave Pearce some safety glasses and took him to see the tires.

Pops gave Pearce two socks filled with coins.  He would just empty his pockets each night and eventually collected quite a bit.  Pearce wanted to get a toy with his coins, but I wanted him to put the money towards getting a bike since he didn't have a bike.  We cashed in his coins and I was so surprised that there was $140.00!!!!  I told Pearce we could get a bike AND a toy!  He was so excited!  After test riding several bikes, he decided on the Spiderman bike and then picked out this box of Army gear.  He still has some left, too!

  1. I think it's so sweet that Pearce loves little Anna so much! He really likes to take care of her, and she likes her "big bro" too. It's good training for him to learn how to treat girls! I hope your play group will continue to get together maybe once a month or so next year. It would be a shame to disband after all this time together! I can't believe Ms. B's class is growing up so! They are 23rd a lot cute.
I love all the Indiana Jones movies! So glad that Pearce does, too. I don't think I ever saw Harrison Ford in his undies, though. I'm glad he wasn't sick as long this time with the fever syndrome! He looks so pitiful!! Wish I could hold him and just love on him!!
