The Dallas Arboretum

Nathan was out of school on Thursday so we loaded up Ashley's car with 2 toddlers, 1 baby, 3 adults, 2 strollers, 1 blanket and 1 Transformer backpack with about 30 miscellaneous toys, and headed to the Arboretum. The weather was absolutely wonderful! We found a perfect spot under a shady tree for our blanket. Nathan and Charlotte had so much fun running around in the wide open space. Well, actually Nathan was the one doing all of the running and exploring and Charlotte was the one who couldn't keep from kissing and hugging Pearce over and over! Honestly, none of us could keep our hands off Pearce, but I think Charlotte feels like he is her REAL baby doll! Not only did we have a yummy picnic, we walked all over the arboretum looking at the beautiful flowers, taking lots of pictures, and Nathan had fun pretending he was an explorer! If there was a chain or fence blocking off a certain area, that was the first place Nathan would "explore."

Visiting the Easter Bunny

For the Easter holiday, Pearce and I plus Otis and Daisy, went to Dallas.  Chris gets to go to The Masters every year, but this year it happened to fall on Easter, so he wasn't able to go with us to Dallas.  We missed having Daddy with us, but I'm glad he still went and had a great time.  He even brought Pearce back the cutest little golf onesie!  We got to Dallas on Wednesday and left Monday.  Now that I'm not working, I want to make my visits to Dallas count!  The first thing we did was head to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny. Nathan was really excited. Charlotte acted like she was excited, but when it came time to actually sit on the Bunny's lap, Charlotte wanted nothing to do with her (it was a girl bunny this year!) So that's how Ash ended up in the picture...ha!!

After getting their picture taken, Nathan and Charlotte got to play in the play area. While Nathan was jumping all over the place, Charlotte got into Mama's purse and found her powder compact and lipstick. At least the "lipstick" Charlotte chose was actually Chap Stick...thank goodness!

After Charlotte got herself all fixed up, we headed to the ice cream store so that she could get sticky! Charlotte loves to play and doesn't mind getting a little dirty, but she is definitely all girl! She loves make up, nail polish, and getting dressed up. When we went to Gymboree to get an outfit for her, Nathan, and Pearce, Nathan sat on the kid bench watching a cartoon and guess what Charlotte was doing??? Trying on shoes, hats, and gloves!

Mama got all of the kids some adorable outfits!!!  We had so much fun that day! 

More Bluebonnet Pics!

Sunday night, we went to Chris' boss' house for dinner.  He and Chris made the BEST dinner:  ribs, baked beans, potato salad.....oh my goodness, it was SO good!!!!  They live in the country and had a ton of bluebonnets in their front yard, so I brought my camera to take pics of Pearce.  Well, we also brought Otis with us and he was in absolute Heaven being able to run around all over.  When he got in these bluebonnets, he did not want to move!  We started off by taking a couple pics of the baby with Otis, then we thought Otis looked so cute in the bluebonnets, that we took a ton of pics of just him!  I handed the baby off and we just snapped away with Otis :)  He may be just a dog to other people, but to Chris and I, he will always be our first baby!
