Our Week with GG

We always love it when GG comes for a visit!  Pearce gets spoiled with lots of lovin' and I get to take long showers, put on makeup, straighten my hair, go to the gym, clean the house....all the things I love to do, but hardly ever have time to do them properly!  We did lots of shopping, of course, and just had fun being together!  Oh, and the other big news is that Pearce laughed for the first time while GG was here!  Daisy was acting all crazy, and running around.  Pearce was sitting in my lap on the floor and all of a sudden, he started laughing!  He did it so much, that I told Chris to video it.  Well, of course as soon as Chris started filming, they both stopped.  It was the sweetest sound and I'm so glad Lora got to hear it! 

GG came on Pearce's 4 month birthday, so of course she brought him a birthday cupcake!

"Hmmm....what is this?"

"It's for me?!"

"I've seen Mommy eat these!  It's a cupcake, I like cupcakes."

"Why did you take it away?"

"Why can't I eat it?  Give it back!"

"But I want it!!!!!"

"My life is over."

"Look guys, I was just kidding.  I not a cry baby."

GG got Pearce his first Johnny Jump-Up.  At first he was a little unsure about it, but he definitely got the hang of it!  He loves it now!

"Instead of jumping, I think I'll just chew on it."

"Alrighty, think it's time for a nap now."

I was so excited that my friend Carly and her husband were in town from Oklahoma!  She and her husband, Thomas stopped by on their way back home.  I used to teach with Carly and have missed her soooo much! She was always so encouraging during our struggle to have a baby.  She would always pray for me, so I loved that she could finally meet the little guy she prayed for!  

"You're pretty.  I like pretty girls."

"Yeah, I know I'm a pimp."

Otis LOVED Thomas!  He hasn't gotten that excited to see anyone in a  LONG time!  Good thing they love dogs!!

Cutest couple in the world!!

GG bought Pearce all kinds of cute summer clothes!  This is one outfit.  I thought he looked so cute in these shorts and t-shirt and little tennis shoes!  Of course, we had to take more pictures :)

I mean, seriously...how cute is this hat GG got him!

 GG loved reading to Pearce in his nursery.  Pearce has really started to get interested in books and looking at pictures.  This book he loves because it lights up and plays music!

"Here GG, let me help you turn the page."

"Mommy, she's going to read it to me AGAIN!"

I had been wanting to find something to keep some of his books in.  When I mentioned this to Lora, we went on a hunt!  The space is pretty small, so I thought it would be kind of hard to find something.  Well, we  went to Pier 1 first and right away saw this and loved it.  It was also on Clearance!  We went to Target to look too, but decided this was perfect!  The drawers are deep enough to fit a good amount of books and it matches the nursery perfectly!  Pearce just received a drum and musical instruments from some friends of ours, so we thought it looked cute on top.

GG, we had so much fun with you.  There really is nothing better than watching someone love on your baby.  We can't wait for your next visit.  We love you!!!
