Thanksgiving was a little different this year because we normally travel to either Dallas or Little Rock to be with one or the other set of grandparents. This year, we decided we would like to have Thanksgiving at our house and Chris wanted to cook it all! My only request was that I we made my mom's dressing and followed her recipe exactly....I LOVE her dressing! Pops and Mimi couldn't come because they already had other family coming, but GG was able to come and it was really a fun time! Chris spent the week preparing the food list, ingredient list, and cooking schedule. He wanted to try cooking the turkey on his smoker, too. One of my favorite things is getting to see Pearce for his school's Thanksgiving program and feast. He was so excited that I was coming and that the year he got to be a Pilgrim...only the "big" kids get to be Pilgrims! His program was adorable and it was so fun getting to eat with his class. I loved seeing his turkey feather that said what he was thankful for....his dog, Sissy :) Once GG came to town, the fun began! Pearce loved taking GG to his favorite play areas and once again, got into playing his matching game with GG. On Thanksgiving day, Chris was busy preparing everything. I let Pearce set the table and he took the job very seriously and did great. We all sat down for our meal and asked Pearce to say the blessing this is what he said "Dear God thank you so much for this happy Thanksgiving and thank you for Mommy, Daddy, and Sissy and GG. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen." Chris and I just looked at each other in amazement, I had tears in my eyes, and Pearce was just beaming with pride. It was the sweetest thing in the world!!! We enjoyed an amazing dinner that Chris cooked for us and my mom's dressing tasted exactly like hers, so I was happy! It was a wonderful Thanksgiving for all of us!

School Pics 2016
These are the proofs from Pearce's preschool pictures and I LOVE them!! It's so crazy to see how much he's grown since his first day of Mother's Day Out at Bethany. He started going one day a week right before he turned 2 years old. Now, here we are and he is such a big boy! Pearce said he loves Mr. Dabbs, the picture guy, because he says silly things to the kids to get them to smile. I must say, he does a great job every year!
Pops and Mimi and the Bunny Farm
Last month, Pops and Mimi came for a visit. We had so much fun going to a place called Rose and Grace Mini Farm. We met our play group there and I loved that Pops and Mimi got to meet all of Pearce's little friends :) The kids had so much fun exploring and playing on the playscape and the little horse swings. There were even two little farm dogs that were adorable as well as goats and a llama! The best part was when the farm lady brought a wagon full of baby bunnies! Oh my goodness, they were little fur balls of cuteness! Each child got their own little bunny to dress up, hold, brush their fur, and just love on. I held one and it just nuzzled all snug in my neck and I seriously thought about hiding it in my coat when we left :) Pearce was so sweet and gentle with his bunny....really, all the kids were! We had so much fun playing with Pops and Mimi...going out to lunch, FINALLY going to Inflatable Wonderland at the mall because I kept putting it off :) Pearce said "Well, when Pops and Mimi come, they will take me"....yes, you are right Pearce :) Of course we had to take a ride on the mall train while we were there! Pearce loved playing the matching game with Pops and Mimi and actually surprised all of us with how well he remembered where the pairs were! He really won a lot of the games, which was so funny to us.
