The Parnell guys had a get together in Little Rock, so Pearce and I headed to Dallas for some fun with cousins. Pearce could not wait to get there....I picked him up from school a little early and we got there right when they were getting out of school. There was constant laughing, wrestling, and messes, but always tons of fun. Pearce was so excited to finally get to play on Nay Nay's new X-Box. We took them to a jump place, ate sushi (well, Ash and I did....they got chicken), got to play with a new basset hound puppy, and I helped Ashley clean out and organize her closet! It was a fun weekend, but oh so sad when we left. Pearce now goes into a seriously sad state whenever we have to leave Nay Nay and Charlotte. Like, he cries for a lot of the way home, cries whenever he thinks about them or their names are mentioned, and cries when he sees pictures of them. It's really so sad to me. This lasts for a couple of days and then he's ok, but he constantly asks when he gets to see them again. I'm so happy he loves his sweet cousins and that they love him just as much!

Easter '18
For Easter this year, we decided to stay home instead of going to Dallas since Spring Break and Easter were so close together. Plus, I was going to see Ashley in a couple weeks and we did just get to see Mama. We had a very busy past few weeks, so we needed to have a laid back Easter. Unexpectedly, Daddy had to go to Little Rock to check on GG, so it was just Pearce and I for our long weekend. Pearce was a little sad to not have Daddy, so I made sure we did some extra special fun things! We met Christie and Ridley on Friday to see the Easter Bunny, played at the mall, and then ate dinner there. Then Saturday, we went to Sweet Eats Fruit Farm for their egg hunt and to have some outdoor fun. We LOVE this place! We always manage to spend hours and hours here and the kids are still not ready to go! It was such a pretty day, which made our visit extra nice! That evening Pearce and I colored our Easter eggs. We did them the traditional way with the color tabs and also tried a new way using cool whip and food coloring.....that was so much fun and the color turned out marbled and a lot brighter! Pearce was eager to go to bed early that evening so that he could wake up to see what the Easter Bunny had left him :) Since Daddy wasn't able to be with us, Christie invited us to have Easter lunch with her and her family which was so nice! They had a big egg hunt for the kids and of course, Pearce and Ridley just loved playing together! So thankful for my sweet friends!!!!

Spring Break '18
We had such a fun Spring Break in Houston with Auntie Jen, Allie, and her friend, Madison. Mama came to Austin on Wednesday and spent the night with us. Pearce was so excited to show her his new big boy room! We went to eat lunch and then went to an impromptu showing of Peter Rabbit at the movie theater. We all loved the movie! We headed to Houston Thursday morning. Pearce wanted to ride with Mama, which was fine with me! I loved driving a quiet car for once :) We got to Houston early that afternoon. After visiting for a while, we went to a Mexican food place for an early dinner. Pearce loved it because it had a cool outdoor play area with sand and ride-on toys. He was filthy when we left, but had a blast! On Friday, we had fun riding bikes around the neighborhood, riding to the park, and playing basketball outside. Pearce LOVED all of Roberts fun things...X-Box, full sized basketball goal, and legos, He really loved being with Allie and her friend, Madison, too. They were both so sweet to Pearce.....he kept asking "Where are the big girls? What are the big girls doing?" The funniest thing is that they taught him how to send text messages to them on my phone. He sent Allie and Madson so many texts that weekend....and even after we got back home, I would find messages he sent to them! They were so sweet to always text back :) His spelling actually got pretty good with each text, haha!! We ate dinner at one of Allie's favorite places and had fried chicken and waffles. On Saturday, we all ventured downtown to go to the Oscar de la Renta dress display. I was worried Pearce would be totally bored and not enjoy himself, but when he got to have his own device for a self-guided tour, he was a happy camper! It almost looked like a cell phone and at each display, you scan the device and can listen to information about that dress. He thought it was cool! Pearce also noticed that lots of people were taking pictures, so he asked to have my phone so he could take pictures....I said yes and he thought he was big stuff for getting to have his own device and cell phone for taking pictures....just like all the other adults. He was actually very well mannered, too! After we saw all the dresses, we went to eat lunch at a cute diner. Eating out at all of Allie's favorite places was definitely a highlight for me.....so much good food!!!!!!! Mom and Jen wanted to go to a fabric store, but us girls (and one cute little boy) wanted to go to Sephora and do a little shopping :) I loved getting to spend some extra time with Jen and Allie....we really don't get to see them as much as I would like to. Need to change that because it's such an easy and short drive to Houston!
