Mother's Day Out

No really, it was Mother's Day Out....today.....me....Mother (well, actually Mommy, but you get the idea)....out ALL . DAY . LONG :)  Pops and Mimi are in town to help me while Chris is in a little place called Ireland.  So, I started the morning by taking Otis to the vet for his check-up.  Then I dropped him off at home, gave a few instructions and headed out for the day! 

                                                   

 I made a hair appointment, but got to the mall early, so I decided to go to Penney's for a little bit since it was right by my hair salon.  I saw this top and thought it was so cute!  It will look great with jeans and flats....you know to go to Babies R Us in :)  Maybe Chris and I will have a date night soon and I'll wear this!

I was so excited about going out for the day that I forgot to change out of my shorts and t-shirt after going to the vet!  Oh well.

Hair cut time!  I'm letting my hair grow out, but it was getting scraggly.  Before...

I get my bangs cut, but most of the time I don't like them down, so up they went when I got to the car.  I just got 2 inches cut, but it feels so much better!

Old Navy here I come with birthday money!!!!!  I wanted to get some clothes that are cute, but easy to wear and casual.  LOVE these jeans and this button up top.

This top is cute because it's loose and flowy but still a little fitted.

I also got a "lounge wear" top and the bottoms to match.  Good for running around.  All that shopping made me hungry, so I went to Panera for lunch.

I made a few more stops before heading home around 5:30 and I must say, I was missing my boy!  As soon as I walked in, he smiled at me! Pops and Mimi said he was a good little boy.  He took a 2 hr long morning nap and an afternoon nap that was almost 2 hrs long.  I know they absolutely LOVED having Pearce all to themselves and I know Pearce got all kinds of love from them.  It was nice to have an afternoon to myself and do a little shopping.  Thank you Pops and Mimi!!!

This was taken at 9:00 pm.  Yes, Pearce should have been in bed, but I found out Chris wasn't getting home 'til late and my play group was coming over the next morning, so I had to run to the store to get some snacks for the play group.  I just took Pearce in his jammies and he loved it!

We went to Marlee's 1st birthday party last weekend.  It was a breakfast party and all the kids came in their jammies.  It was so cute!  This is Gabriel and he is so funny!

Pearce's new Captain America t-shirt :)

Captain America is such a baby :)  We took a family outing to Academy to get Chris a few things.  It's so fun to take Pearce to stores because he can sit in the front of the cart.  Anyway, he needed his paci for this little outing :)

Otis loves Pearce and Pearce loves Otis!

It was bound to happen sooner or later!  Oh well....I always say Pearce reminds me of a little puppy....he might as well chew on a dog bone!

Story time at Cedar Park Library

Elizabeth and Brice invited us to go to the Cedar Park Library for story and playtime this morning.  It was so cute and fun!  The children's area has little seats and tables and reading areas for the kids.  Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday they have a story time for babies and toddlers.  It was fun to see all the mommies and babies.  We sang all sorts of songs with hand motions first.  Then she passed out board books to all of us and we all read the story out loud together.  Pearce and Brice were such good listeners :)  After the story, we sang a few more songs and then the teacher dumped out a bunch of toys and we had free play for about 10 minutes!  Afterwards, we went to IHOP for breakfast.   It was the perfect little morning outing!

Pearce is just 6 weeks older than Brice.  I think they will be buddies for a long time!

This is the lady that runs the children's time.  She was so sweet!  She kept getting Pearce and Brice with this little kitten puppet.

We went to IHOP for breakfast and these were our dates :)  They both conked out!  Elizabeth and I said we want to try to do this as often as possible...it was so fun!

Dallas fun!

Pearce, are you ready to go to Dallas???

We went to Dallas for Nathan's 5th birthday.  I forgot my camera, so I just had to use my iPhone and don't have any pics of his party :(  I'll have to steal some from Ashley's blog!  As soon as I got there, we went to visit Grandma.  She is always so happy to see us!  Pearce definitely put on a little show for her and I know she loved it! 

Grandma had on a sweater, so we had her change into something a little more cool.  This top is so cute...Mom made it for her!  I think she felt really good in it because she disappeared in her bathroom and came out with her hair fixed and makeup on!  She looked so pretty!  

Then we headed over to Auntie Ashy's for playtime with the cousins and dinner.  Nathan and Charlotte are always so happy to see Pearce.  They are so sweet and gentle with him.  Nathan and Charlotte are also extremely helpful, too.  If I ask one of them to get me a burp cloth or diaper...or even to throw away a diaper, they step right up and do it!  

Auntie Ashy had fun loving on Pearce and playing with him.  I love her two kids like they are my own and I know she feels the same way about Pearce.  I love that!

Charlotte regresses when she's around Pearce :)  She also loves to get in my diaper bag and find Pearce's paci's.  I constantly lose them when she is around.  What's so funny is that she never used a paci when she was a baby!    

Pearce and Papa are buddies!  Papa can make Pearce laugh so easily!  I know my dad is so proud of Pearce and that makes me so happy.  Please notice the large wet spot on Pearce's shirt...he is a drooling mess most of the time which is why a bib is usually part of his outfit :)

I stayed with mom and dad for the first few days.  You can see the Otis made himself right at home on their couch :)

And so did Daisy!

We just put all of Pearce's toys on the floor and he played and played!  Being at mom and dad's house is a mini vacation for me because they pretty much take care of him the whole time!

Mom was supposed to be giving Pearce a bottle, but he totally conked out.  I mean, he was OUT!  But then he would open his eyes a little and was in a complete state of milk drunkeness...is that a word??

Then it was off to Auntie Ashy's house for the weekend and for some birthday fun!  Nathan had his party at a splash park.  He had lots of friends come and they all had the best time at his Superhero party!!

We came home and I had a LOT of unpacking to do, but Pearce was his usual happy self, and I got it all done.  It's always fun to go to Dallas to visit everyone!!!
