Jessi's Sprinkle

Today, my mom's group had a little "sprinkle" for one of our moms!  Jessi is due on the 30th and her little boy, Jack, will be turning one on the 24th...how crazy is that?!  It is always so fun to get the babies together! I love having things at my house because it MAKES me get my house clean and organized and I just absolutely adore my mom's group!

I just push my furniture back and lay down some quilts and spread toys all around and the babies have a great time!  Pearce was really on the move today...I can usually sit down and eat my snacks, but it was a little harder today :)

Jessi's gifts!

The food!  We had so many yummy snacks...I should have taken a picture before we all started eating.  Everyone contributed a little something.  We had raspberry lemonade cupcakes, cheese and crackers, chocolate dipped strawberries, fruit, pumpkin bread, cookies, and lemonade...YUM!

Kristin M. made this sweet banner for Jessi.  The new baby is going to be named Ava Grace...LOVE that!

Here is Jessi with her loot!

She got so many cute girly things!

Pearce loved the tissue paper :)

Jessi and her little love, Jack.  He is the cutest thing!

Boden and Pearce were wrestling with the tissue paper!

Our Weekend

We had a great weekend!  Pops and Mimi and Ash and Wayne came down for the A&M vs. Arkansas game.  We lost, once again, but we still had fun!  Since it was supposed to rain all day Saturday, Ash and I decided we did not want to sit in the rain, so the guys went to the game and the girls (plus Pearce) stayed home and watched it on TV.  TONS of pictures coming your way!

When I say everything goes in Pearce's mouth, I mean EVERYTHING!

On the move!  Pearce is crawling everywhere now!
Here he is crawling to the dog bones...

Here he is crying because I would not let him have the dog bones...
"But WHY can't I chew on those...they are made for chewing, you know!"
 Pops and his little buddy!

Auntie Ashy and Uncle Wayne were so excited to see Pearce!

Ash did not have Nathan or Charlotte with her, so she really got to love on Pearce!

I was so glad the guys were still in a good mood even though the Hogs lost!

Ash and I decided to go outside and take a few pics with Pearce in his little Razorback shirt his Daddy got him.

Otis LOVED sitting on the couch with Ash and Wayne...no matter how tight the space was, he always managed to get up there....and thankfully Ash and Wayne didn't care!

 Daddy is so silly!

Pearce discovered the door stopper....we had to take the end cover off because he learned how to do that...now he just hits it and plays with it.

I decided to put Pearce's Halloween pajamas on him just for fun.  He has so many cute Halloween clothes, I just can't wait for him to wear them!

Otis is in Heaven...Wayne is not :)

"Please Mommy, don't take it away....I just want to chew on it for a little while."  Well, at least Daisy is a good sport!

8 months old!

Pearce, how in the world are you already 8 months old?!  I think this month, you are going to keep me VERY busy!

This is what I want to remember about your 7th month:

*Your two bottom teeth have begun to come in....and I keep forgetting to brush them!
*You began crawling just last week!  At the beginning of 7 months, you would get on your hands and knees and rock back and forth.
*Last week, you also learned how to go from laying down to sitting!
*Size 3 diapers.  I had to get the extra absorbent/way more expensive diapers because you kept leaking through your regular ones at night and during naps!
*You wear 9-12 month size clothes.  You can wear 12 month size pants although the legs are a little long. You can also wear some 12 month size shirts.  You can still wear 9 month sizes, but they are getting snug :)
*Last night you laughed SO hard when I tore up pieces of paper!  I showed Daddy the video and he laughed so hard he was crying.  He watched it over and over :)
*You still take 7 ounces of formula.
*I try to give you at least 2 meals a day of pureed food.  Mommy makes all of your food and you have loved everything!
*Still spitting up...but not as bad.....fingers crossed!
*You got your first little bruise on your head when you bumped it on my dresser while crawling :(
*You cry when I take something away from you that you wanted to play with.
*You babble and scream and grunt and say "dadadada" all the time!  I'm trying to get you to say Mama.
*You still take a 2hr morning nap and a 2hr afternoon nap (more on that below).
*You go to bed around 8:30-9:00 and sleep until 8ish.
*On Tuesdays we go to our play group.  On Wednesdays we go to the library for story time. On Fridays (just for this month) I go to an exercise class and bible study class.  You go to the nursery and you have done really well in there!

You are such a happy, sweet, easy-going baby...most of the time!  Whenever someone comes up to us to tell me how cute you are, you smile at them and they always think it's so funny.  You really love to smile at the check-out people at the store.  The other day, we went to the vet to get Otis' medicine and the vets just kept talking to you and saying how cute you are.  You just kicked your legs and smiled.

We take evening strolls through the neighborhood now that it has gotten cooler.  I like to stop at the park and put you in the baby swing for a little play time.  The last couple times we have gone, though, you fell asleep!

Yesterday you would NOT take your afternoon nap.  This morning you did not want to go down for your morning nap....but you finally fell asleep after lots of crying.  OH MY LORD.....I think you have a bit of a mischievous side and I'm just now seeing that!  Happy 8 months baby boy!
