Easter 2014
We had such a wonderful Easter this year! Pearce got to go to 4 Easter egg hunts and they were all so much fun! Our first one was at a park with bounce houses, a petting zoo, snow cones, and the Easter Bunny. I made the mistake of telling Pearce that all the eggs had candy in them and it was TORTURE having to wait until they gave the signal to go get the eggs! As soon as they said go, Pearce got one egg, sat down, and opened it to eat the candy :) I got him a few more. He had so much fun though! We went to Dallas to celebrate Easter and Pearce was so excited to see Nay Nay and Charlotte! As soon as we got there, they played and played. Nathan and Charlotte are sooooo sweet to Pearce, I just love seeing them together. Nathan is just like a big brother to Pearce. Pearce will do ANYTHING Nay Nay tells him. I found myself telling Nathan things like "Tell Pearce to come eat" "Tell Pearce to let me brush his teeth" "Tell Pearce to get in the car" Hahaha!!! Nathan is seriously such a big help to me! I'm actually going to have Nathan come stay with me a few days this summer to help me with potty training! Pearce got to experience his first movie at the theater with Nathan, Charlotte, Ash, and Mama. We went to see "Bears." We got all the kids the snack pack with popcorn, candy, and a drink. Pearce did pretty well for the first part and then started getting a little antsy, so Mama said she would take him home. But, when Charlotte saw that Mama and Pearce were leaving, she decided to go too....so just me and Ash and Nathan stayed for the rest of the movie :) It was a good practice run! Saturday, we went to another Easter egg hunt and it was huge! Petting zoo, bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, the Easter Bunny, hot dogs...it was so much fun. That evening we were ready to color eggs! Pearce had so much fun putting his eggs in the coloring cups and mixing it around. Their hands were totally dyed and I wondered if they were going to have dyed hands for church! Luckily it all came off with a long bath. Pearce was pretty sad when there were no more eggs to be colored :( We baked another bunny cake that evening and had a great dinner thanks to Ash! Sunday morning, Charlotte went with me to wake up Pearce and to see what the Easter Bunny left them. Pearce got a little bunny, Mr. Potato Head, and a Toy Story coloring book, plus some chocolate. He said "Oh wow!" when he saw the coloring book. We then got dressed for church and I was so excited to see Pearce in his little bow tie I got him. Oh man, he looked so cute! Wayne kept calling him "Professor" and "Dr. Jones" :) Nathan and Charlotte look so adorable, too! Nathan actually wore Wayne's Easter tie from when Wayne was a little boy. He looked like such a little man! When we got to church, Ashley and I went to drop the kids off in the nursery and Nathan was so excited to drop off Pearce. I was so afraid Pearce would start crying, but he didn't! Nathan got to go to big church with us. He was really excited about that...for about the first 10 minutes, then he got really antsy, but he pulled through and the service was really amazing! When we got home, we had another egg hunt at Ashley's house and once again, as soon as Pearce picked up his first egg, he just wanted to sit down and start eating the candy out of it :) We had such a fun weekend in Dallas being with family. Pearce was asleep about 15 minutes into our drive home. Thank you for hosting us Ash....we miss all of you!!

GG's Visit
After Mama left, we got ready for GG to come visit! GG always comes with a few surprises and this visit was no exception. Since it was close to Easter, she brought Pearce several Easter gifts including a bunny that smelled like chocolate that Pearce just loved! She also brought him some Toy Story undies that are so adorable...almost makes me excited to potty train him....almost :) The first night, we went to Pearce's favorite restaurant, "Boobies" aka Luby's! He loves to go there for jello, but also loves to eat a chicky leg! That's my boy! An older couple even came up to us and commented about how well Pearce was doing eating with his fork and spoon!
Sunday, we went to Pearce's 2nd Easter egg hunt at a park. We got there early to let Pearce play on the playground and then it was time for the Egg hunt. I really liked how they did the hunt....there was just a ton of candy all spread out for the kids to gather in their baskets, so it wasn't as frenzied as the one we went to the day before. Of course, as soon as Pearce got one piece of candy, he just wanted to sit down and eat it :) GG and I had to gather a few more pieces to put in his bucket. How handsome is my little guy in this pic?!
That evening we got our baking on! GG brought the cutest bunny cake pan for us to bake. We had another Easter egg hunt on Monday with my MOPS group and I was supposed to bring a treat, so we made the cutest cupcakes for that. GG brought Pearce a cute chef's outfit for our baking. He looked so cute in it! Pearce had fun helping GG mix up the cake batter, but what he really like was licking the beater...isn't that the best part?! The bunny cake turned out so cute and it was so good, too!
We had fun playing outside and eating popsicles! We also took Pearce to visit the Easter Bunny. I really thought Pearce would be scared of him, but he sat on his lap and looked so cute! While we were at the mall, we got to ride the train and play in the play area. GG also completed Pearce's Toy Story collection with the Jessie doll and another set of Toy Story figurines. Pearce loves his Jessie doll....now he takes all 3 dolls with him in the car...so sweet! We did have to make a little stop at the doctor's office for Pearce. Poor little guy...he's getting his two year molars and they were really bothering him. He wouldn't eat much and his little lymph nodes were pretty swollen, so I just wanted to make sure nothing more serious was going on. Thankfully, everything checked out just fine, but it was fun taking him to the doctor. I was glad that GG got to see how good he always is at the doctor's office! Jessie went with us, too :)
GG, we had so much fun with you! Thank you for baking with Pearce and going to all of the egg hunts with us. We can't wait to see you again soon! We love you!!

Mama's Visit
Mama came a couple weeks ago, and oh my goodness, did we have fun! I told Pearce that when he woke up from his nap, Mama would be here. He got so excited, I almost thought he wouldn't go to sleep! But, he was a good boy and took a good nap and when he woke up, the fun began! We went to Phil's Ice House for a great burger and ice cream and play time. I love this place because they have the cutest little playground that's perfect for toddlers, plus really good food! Mom said it's one of the best burgers she's ever had! Of course Pearce always likes to get ice cream there. He was so sweet to share with Mama :)
On Tuesday, we took a little day trip to Marble Falls to go to Sweet Berry Farm for some strawberry picking. I've always wanted to go to Sweet Berry, but have never been, then I found out their strawberries were prime for picking, so I decided this would be the perfect thing for us to do. There were huge fields of strawberries...I've never seen so many. It was neat to actually see them on the vine and pick these beautiful red strawberries. Pearce even ate a few right off the vine :) We picked enough to fill a shoe box. They also had goats to feed, a train (it wasn't running because it was a little muddy), a bouncy thing, horses to pet, and fresh strawberry ice cream. We brought a picnic and had fun sitting on our blanket eating and watching Pearce run around. When we got home, we put Pearce down for a nap and Mom got to work getting our strawberries cut for strawberry shortcake that night. These were the best strawberries I've ever had!!! On Wednesday, I got to have the day to myself and Pearce and Mama went to the park, went to Dunkin Donuts for Munchkins, and just had fun being together. I LOVED my day off!!
I was really looking forward to our day on Thursday. We took another little day trip to a place called Little Buckaroo Ranch. It's a ranch where the owners raise miniature horses and they give tours of the ranch and let kids pet the animals, ride the horse, feed the goats, etc... I just knew Pearce would have a great time and I thought it would be so fun to experience this with Mama...oh my gosh, it was SO fun! Of course, I got Pearce dressed in his finest cowboy attire. He loved being a little buckaroo and helping to feed the animals. He was so excited to get to ride on the tractor with Cowboy Jimmy and he REALLY loved riding on the horse! I loved this place and I'm thinking he may need to take horsemanship lessons out here in the next year or two!
While Mama was here, we also spruced up my front and back yard with flowers...Mom, you will be happy to know that everything is still alive! Like always, we had so much fun with you. Thank you for going on these little adventures with us! We love you!!
