9 months old!

Pearce, you are 9 months old today!

Each month just gets better and better!  You are the sweetest little thing and your Daddy and I just feel so lucky to have you!  It is so funny to see how you react when Daddy comes home from work.  He will kind of sneak up on you and as soon as you see him, your legs start kicking and you start smiling and laughing!  He has fun videos on his phone, so he will let you sit in his lap and watch the videos.  You love them!  

 

 You are constantly on the move!  This was the first time it was actually hard to get your picture.  You kept trying to get the table next to your chair or you wanted to crawl OFF the chair, so I gave you your toothbrush and that seemed to satisfy you for a while.  The days of sitting nicely for your monthly pictures are OVER....but that's o.k. sweet baby....Mommy will just try harder :)

 Here are some things I want to remember about your 8th month:

*You began crawling right before you turned 8 months old...and man you got good at it real fast!

*You started wearing size 12 month clothes around 8 1/2 months...that's crazy to me!  You can still wear some 9-12 month clothes, but for the most part it's all 12 month size.

*Size 3 diapers still

*Size 2 shoes...when I can put shoes on you...you like to take them off!

*20 pounds.

*You eat 2-3 meals a day and still take 7 ounces of formula.  You love to eat!

*You take 2 2hr naps a day...sometimes you will sleep for 3 hours!

*You go to bed around 8:30 and wake up around 8:00 in the morning!

*You got your two bottom teeth.

*Spitting up is not as bad now.

*You learned how to clap from going to the library for story time...you clap all the time now!

*Papa taught you how to throw a ball last week!

 Pearce, you are such a happy, sweet, easy baby!!  You smile all the time and it just makes me so happy and proud when people comment about that.  Although you are happy most of the time, there are times when you can throw a fit!  Especially when you are trying to get something and we move you from it or take it from  you.  You always want to crawl into the kitchen to get Daisy's food and water bowls.  Last week I let you succeed and boy did you have fun playing in her water bowl!  It was so cute and funny at the time, but not so cute and funny when I had to clean it all up :) 

I've already started thinking about your 1st birthday.  Mommy is a planner, you know.  I really can't believe how fast time is going by, but it doesn't make me sad.  I love each new milestone you reach.  I look forward to what you will do next.  I really feel like I am enjoying you to the fullest and I am just so happy you are my baby boy!  Pearce, aren't you happy I'm your mommy????  Ok, ok...bottle time.

Fun in Dallas!

Pearce and I got to Dallas Friday afternoon.  He was such a good boy on the drive up....slept pretty much the whole way!  He did wake up for about 20 minutes, but then went back to sleep.  Mama and Papa were so excited to see him...and me too, I guess :)  Mom had one of my favorite dinners that night...meatloaf, mashed potatoes, rolls, and chocolate pie!  Pearce LOVED the mashed potatoes!

 Saturday we met Ash and Nathan and Charlotte at Grandma's.  I was so excited for Grandma to see Pearce and all of his little tricks.  When we got there, Grandma was in the main sitting room visiting with one of her friends.  She was so happy to see us!  Pearce showed her how he could crawl all around.  Then we went back to Grandma's room and met Ash.  We had such a great visit with Grandma!

I went to a craft fair last week and a cute old man was selling these "Bug Barns" for $3.50, so I got Nathan and Charlotte one....they loved them!

 After Grandma's, we went to the McKinney square and had a nice lunch and strolled around the square.  That night, Daddy grilled out and made his yummy kabobs...they were soooo good!!

 Mom finished Pearce's Christmas stocking and it is absolutely perfect!!!  I can't wait to hang it up during Christmas and fill it up with all sorts of fun things!  I wanted to take Pearce's picture for our Christmas card, so we had fun getting him dressed and trying to get the perfect picture, which I did, thank goodness!!  I'm not using these, but I did think they were so cute!  You'll have to wait to see the Christmas picture :)

 Charlotte LOVES Pearce and most of the time Pearce feels the same way :)

 Mama and Papa had fun playing outside with Cookie and Charlotte and Pearce....Nathan was inside asleep!

This is what Pearce did most of the time when we when to the Dallas Arboretum on Sunday! 

 Sunday evening, Daddy brought over pizzas for us and we had fun eating and playing outside!

 Nathan was so good at throwing AND catching the football!  Papa even taught Pearce how to throw a ball.  I have the cutest video of Papa giving Pearce a ball and then Pearce throwing it....he really got good at it!  We just had the best time, as always!

Dallas Arboretum

Pearce and I are in Dallas for a visit and today we went to the Arboretum with Mom, Ash, Nathan, and Charlotte.  We had so much fun walking around and having a picnic.  Pearce had fun during our picnic, but the rest of the time he got so relaxed that he slept most of the time in his stroller.

 I think this pic is hilarious!  It is a chore trying to get these two to sit still for a nice picture! We finally did succeed...but this is my favorite :)

 

We had such a great day!  The weather was perfect and it was just so fun for us to all be together!
